Guiding you towards
a brighter future.
Our dedicated team of support workers are committed to helping you achieve your NDIS goals in a way that empowers and uplifts you. With a compassionate approach and innovative support strategies, we’re here to guide you toward a brighter, more independent future. Let’s take the journey together!
-
Supported Independent Living (SIL) helps people with higher support needs live independently at home. It provides assistance with daily tasks such as personal care and meal preparation, while also helping build skills for greater independence. SIL is for people who need ongoing help, including overnight support, 7 days a week. It can be used whether you live alone or with other NDIS participants, but funding doesn’t cover rent or everyday expenses like groceries.
-
Respite care gives carers a break while allowing people with disabilities to engage in activities like sports, travel, or skill-building.
This helps carers recharge and improves family well-being. -
Social and community participation means engaging in activities with others that you enjoy, such as going to a local café, joining a sports team, volunteering, or taking a class. It helps you connect with others, build friendships, grow your confidence, and develop new skills. These activities can also improve your independence, increase your job opportunities, and make you feel more included in your community.
Trying different activities is important, as you may not know what you enjoy until you try. With the right support, your interests may change over time, but finding what you enjoy can lead to the greatest benefits.

This means that your voice will always be heard. Our friendly staff are always looking for new ways to guide you towards a brighter future.

We are 100% local, and unlike many large corporations, we were born and raised in Whyalla. Our mission is to set a new standard of care and deliver exceptional outcomes. Our primary focus is to empower NDIS participants and enhance quality of life within our community.

At LDC, we understand that good support workers are key to providing a high-quality service. Support workers build trust and form professional relationships with participants. At Lighthouse Disability Care, supports will always be uniquely tailored to suit your individual needs, with NDIS principles of 'choice and control' being at the forefront of all service delivery. At LDC, we listen to what you want and strive to support you the way YOU want to be supported.

Lighthouse is a beacon of light and a symbol of hope. We understand trying to navigate through murky NDIS waters can be challenging. Our aim is to guide NDIS participants towards a brighter future. We ensure that all suggestions, feedback and complaints, no matter how big or small, are actioned accordingly within a reasonable time frame. It is important that our participants receive the highest standard of care possible.
"Hands down, they have been the best NDIS support workers we have ever dealt with. We have been involved with the NDIS since inception and have had many support workers for comparison! They have gone above and beyond in their service. I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Lighthouse to any future NDIS participants."
